The variety is late-ripening. Clusters are medium to large, elongated, conical-cylindrical, predominantly loose. Berries are quite large, oval, dark blue to almost black in color with a thick waxy bloom and fleshy-juicy light-colored pulp. The flower is hermaphroditic.
The variety is characterized by high drought tolerance, but it is sensitive to diseases and requires complex care. Yield varies from moderate to high depending on cultivation conditions. Genetically, it is the result of a natural cross between the Hebén variety and an unknown variety.
The grapes are used to create wines with high acidity and low pH levels, possessing aromas of red berries, herbs, licorice, and spices. The variety was widely distributed before the phylloxera outbreak, after which its popularity declined, and in recent decades, its active restoration has begun.
