A mid-season variety with pentagonal, deeply lobed leaves. Bunches are medium or small, compact, cylindrical or pyramidal in shape. Berries are small or medium, rounded, dark blue, almost black in color, covered with a thick waxy bloom.

The plant prefers a warm Mediterranean climate and is characterized by low frost resistance and susceptibility to fungal diseases. Yields decrease noticeably as the vine ages, while mature vines produce higher quality grapes.

Used for producing red and rosé wines, both as part of blends and as a single-varietal wine. The finished wine is characterized by fruit notes with the potential development of prune, spice, and herbal undertones during aging.
