Variety description

The variety is an interspecific hybrid obtained from crossing Vitis berlandieri and Vitis riparia. It is intended exclusively for use as a rootstock for grape grafting.

The plant possesses very high vigor, good rooting ability, and high affinity with most scions. The root system penetrates deeply, which allows the variety to be grown on heavy or poorly water-permeable soils.

The variety demonstrates resistance to root phylloxera, although its resistance to lime in the soil is lower than that of some other rootstocks. The leaf form of phylloxera affects the leaves of the plant. The flower is functionally male, and the leaves are large, entire, and dark green with characteristic pubescence.
