Variety description

The variety is very vigorous, the growing season is about 180 days, and a sum of active temperatures of about 3200–3250°C is required. The bushes form a powerful root system, large leathery leaves, and strong shoots. The flowers are functionally female; formation of small bunches with black berries is possible.

The plant possesses high resistance to fungal diseases and root phylloxera, however, it is sensitive to the leaf form of phylloxera, gray mold, and shoot necrosis. It adapts well to various soils, withstands up to 35–40% of total carbonates, and is distinguished by high drought tolerance.

Cuttings have satisfactory rooting ability; callusing is often used to improve the yield of nursery plants. The variety shows good compatibility with most scions. Due to excessive vigor, it may delay crop ripening and affect wine quality on fertile soils.
