The variety belongs to the Terret family, originating from the Languedoc region, France. The plant is medium-vigour, with round 3–5-lobed leaves. Clusters are medium or large in size, conical or cylindro-conical in shape. Berries are medium-sized, acquiring a greyish or pinkish hue upon ripening.
The variety belongs to the late-ripening group with late bud burst. It is characterized by susceptibility to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and grape berry moth, but possesses good resistance to grey mold.
A wine grape variety traditionally used for winemaking: production of white wines, vermouths, and distillates. Wines from this variety are noted for their freshness, lightness, pronounced acidity, and neutral taste.
