Mid-ripening variety with early bud burst. Clusters are medium or large in size, conical, loose or moderately compact. Berries are medium-sized, spherical or slightly oval, with thin, dark blue skin and juicy pulp.
The plant is sensitive to flower abortion, which results in unstable yields. It prefers short pruning, is drought-tolerant, and develops well on acidic and poor soils, including limestone, schist, and sand. It is susceptible to downy mildew, mold, anthracnose, and mites.
Used primarily in winemaking to create rosé and dry red wines. Due to the characteristics of the skin, it retains a fruity profile without excessive staining. The wines possess a delicate taste with aromas of red fruits and spicy notes.
