The variety is a wine grape used for wine production, often in blends to balance acidity. Harvest occurs in mid-October. The vines are characterized by high vigor and resistance to fungal diseases.
Clusters are large, elongated-pyramidal in shape, moderately dense, with one wing. Berries are blue-black in color, fleshy. Wines possess a deep ruby-red color with purple hues, high acidity, and pronounced berry and herbaceous notes.
