The variety is used in winemaking and belongs to the grapes of the Croatian Littoral. The berries of the variety are white.
The botanical description includes an open shoot tip of the young shoot with weak pubescence. Young leaves are green, with weak anthocyanin coloration along the edges. The mature leaf is predominantly heart-shaped, entire or three-lobed.
Volarovo is considered a rare and forgotten variety that is maintained in collection plantings, in particular on the island of Krk, within the framework of programs for the restoration of local varieties.
