Plum leaf spots

Prunus domestica L.

A group of pathological conditions of plum caused by fungal pathogens, manifested as specific necrotic and chlorotic spots on the leaf blade.

In the reference 34 varieties crop European plum, where this is mentioned in the description.

Shot-hole disease (clasterosporiosis), caused by Clasterosporium carpophilum, is characterized by the formation of circular spots 2–5 mm in diameter with a crimson border, the tissue of which eventually dries out and falls out, creating perforation holes. Polystigmos, caused by Polystigma rubrum, manifests as yellowish-red depressed spots that, as they develop, become fiery red, shiny, and convex on the underside of the leaf.

Coccomycosis (Blumeriella jaapii) on plums is manifested by the appearance of small purple spots, often leading to a "ragged" appearance of the foliage and premature defoliation. Rust (Tranzschelia pruni-spinosae) is diagnosed by yellow spots on the upper side of the leaf and orange or brown spore-bearing pustules developing on the underside, which is accompanied by deformation and swelling of the leaf blade.
