The plant is mid-season, forming a compact, medium-sized head. The intense red leaves with prominent white veins have a crispy texture and a specific bitter-spicy taste, which becomes milder after heat treatment.
The variety is intended for sowing in the open field in mid-summer; transplanting is not recommended. Harvesting begins in October. The produce is used primarily as a leafy vegetable, fresh or after culinary processing.
