The variety is a compact shrub with a height of 60–70 cm to 1.5 m. A characteristic feature is the variegated foliage, colored yellow with green markings. In June, the plant forms small spherical inflorescences consisting of white or light pink flowers.

The plant prefers partial shade areas and well-drained acidic or neutral soils that prevent drying out. The variety has winter hardiness in USDA zone 6, does not require special pruning, except for the removal of dead shoots, and tolerates shaping well.
