The rootstock is a hybrid of M.9 and Antonovka obyknovennaya. In terms of vigor, it belongs to the super-dwarf category, reaching 19–30% of the size of trees on seed rootstocks, which brings it close to the parameters of M.27. Trees on this rootstock are characterized by early onset of fruit-bearing.

The plant possesses good winter hardiness and high resistance to root and crown rots, however, it is very susceptible to woolly apple aphid and moderately to fire blight. Due to a weak root system, the trees require constant support, while the rootstock produces little root suckers.
