The P 14 rootstock belongs to the semi-dwarfing rootstock group. Its use contributes to improved tree adaptation to soil and climatic conditions and the production of high-quality fruit, while the rootstock is not prone to suckering.

Plants on this rootstock possess good winter hardiness and resistance to fire blight. The trees have sufficient anchorage in the soil, although in intensive cultivation systems they may require additional support.
