The variety is named after the Drakenberg family, who owned the Hjalmarsberg estate. The tree is distinguished by high growth vigor; in Swedish conditions, flowering occurs in early May.
The fruits have a conical shape with pronounced ribbing, firm rough skin, and tender juicy flesh with a sweet taste and slight acidity. The overcolor, in the form of dense stripes, covers up to 70–85% of the fruit surface. The variety is capable of withstanding hardiness zones 1 to 3.
