The variety is the result of breeding work in 1951. The parent forms are Glockenapfel and Richard Delicious varieties. The tree is characterized by rapid development and strong growth at a young age; the crown of young plants is pyramidal or high-oval, becoming rounded and moderately dense with age.
Fruits are large, weighing 140–200 g, have a round-conical shape with pronounced ribbing at the top and a dark red color with a diffused blush. The flesh is light cream-colored, juicy and aromatic, and has a sweet-and-sour taste. The variety shows high resistance to scab and powdery mildew.
Fruit ripening occurs in late September — October; the consumption period begins in January. The fruits are distinguished by high keeping quality and excellent transportability; in normal conditions, they are stored until February, and in cold storage chambers, until April-May. The variety is suitable for industrial cultivation and use as a pollinator.
