The rootstock belongs to the semi-dwarfing group and provides about 90% of the size of a standard seedling rootstock. Trees on this rootstock are characterized by good resistance to lodging and tend to form a spreading crown.
The plant is highly sensitive to Phytophthora, therefore it requires well-drained soils and is not recommended for planting on heavy sites. At the same time, it shows resistance to collar rot. The winter hardiness of the rootstock is higher than that of a number of analogues in the southern zone, however, in severe snowless winters, damage to the root system is possible.
