Trees on this rootstock reach 60–75% of the size of a tree on a seedling rootstock, being approximately 4–5 meters without formative pruning. The rootstock has good anchorage, due to which trees often do not require permanent support, except in areas with strong winds.
The plant exhibits high susceptibility to Phytophthora crown and root rot, and therefore tolerates waterlogged soils poorly. Moderate resistance to fire blight is also noted. The rootstock is characterized by precocity and high compatibility with most apple varieties.
