The tree has a spreading crown and weak to medium vigor. Leaves are elliptic-lanceolate in shape and of medium size. The variety is self-fertile, although cross-pollination contributes to increased yield rates.
Fruits are ovoid, asymmetrical, with a pit tightly adhering to the flesh. When ripening, they turn dark burgundy. Oil yield is 15–25% depending on the timing of the harvest, which is carried out from the end of October until the end of the year.
The variety demonstrates resistance to low temperatures and drought conditions. Sensitivity of the plant to soil salinity and pest infestation, in particular the olive fruit fly, Prays oleae, and Saissetia oleae, is noted.
