Maggiorata is a local Apulian olive variety which is not a product of modern breeding, but belongs to the category of traditional local varieties (landraces). It is included in the official list of Italian autochthonous fruit plant varieties.

Morphologically, the variety is classified as a genotype with medium-large size fruits and pits. Specific agronomic characteristics, such as maturity group, plant height, yield and disease resistance, are not presented in available sources.
