ActiveOlea europaea L. · Olive
TODOLIVO S.L.
10 August 2026
The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, a spreading crown with medium foliage density, and early entry into the fruiting period. Large, elliptical-shaped fruits with sparse lenticels on the skin are difficult to detach from the peduncle. The variety is self-incompatible and requires pollinators such as Zeituna, Biancolilla, or Moresca.
The plant possesses good adaptability to the volcanic soils and climate of eastern Sicily, exhibiting resistance to the olive fruit fly while being sensitive to a number of other diseases. Propagation by cuttings is difficult due to poor root formation.
The variety is used for oil production with aromas of grass, artichoke, walnut, and almond, with a yield of approximately 16%, and is also highly valued as a table olive due to its firm flesh and good flesh-to-pit ratio.
