ActiveOlea europaea L. · Olive
TODOLIVO S.L.
10 August 2026
The tree has medium vigor and a spreading canopy of medium density. The leaves are elliptical-lanceolate in shape and medium in size. Flowering occurs in the medium-early period. The variety is partially self-sterile and requires pollinator varieties such as Coratina, Cellina barese, Termite di Bitetto, and Mele.
This is an early-ripening variety with average yields and a tendency towards alternate bearing. The fruits are small, which is why the variety is used exclusively for olive oil production. The oil has a golden-yellow color with greenish hues and a medium-fruity flavor with notes of almond, green apple, and artichoke.
The plant is resistant to Cycloconium, but it shows sensitivity to low temperatures, olive knot (tuberculosis of olive), and olive fruit fly infestation. Due to the antiquity of its origin, the variety has many local synonyms, including Ogliarola di Molfetta, Nostrale Bitontina, Cima di Bitonto, Baresana, and others.
