Variety description

Trees of the variety are characterized by large size and high growth vigor. Fruits are of medium or small size with an elongated-ovoid shape. During the ripening process, the color changes from green to dark violet, almost black. The surface of the fruits is covered with small lenticels and has a weakly expressed waxy bloom.

The variety is late-ripening; fruit ripening occurs in January. Productivity is characterized as good, but irregular. The resulting oil has an intense fruity aroma with musky notes, as well as pronounced bitter and piquant shades. The variety is primarily used in blends for the production of oils with a protected designation of origin.
