The Rachati variety (also known as Rachabi) is included in the national collection of olive genetic resources of Greece. Studies confirm its genetic identity or close relationship with the Koutsourelia variety, with which they are considered synonyms.
A morphological feature of the fruits of this variety is the absence of a sub-epidermal region. In trials conducted at the World Olive Germplasm Bank in Spain, it was established that the variety has high susceptibility to infection by the fungus Colletotrichum acutatum, which causes anthracnose.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
