The variety is a local type of folk selection, cultivated in the Marche region for many centuries. The main purpose of the fruit is to produce high-quality Extra Virgin olive oil.

The fruits are medium-sized and characterized by a curved, asymmetric shape. Harvesting is traditionally carried out at the end of October. The variety is adapted to cultivation conditions in hilly terrain.

Oil from this variety possesses an intense herbaceous aroma with hints of artichoke, green almond, berries, and black pepper. The taste qualities are distinguished by pronounced bitterness and pungency; the color of the oil varies from yellow-green to yellow with a greenish hue.
