The Santulhana variety is a local Portuguese variety from the Trás-os-Montes region. The trees of this variety are vigorous and characterized by a relatively short flowering period and a medium to late onset of bearing.
The fruits of the variety are large in size, symmetrical in shape, and of medium-high weight. The oil content is approximately 20%. The oil possesses a complex aroma with notes of freshly cut grass, green apple, cabbage, and tomato, while the taste combines initial sweetness with medium bitterness and a persistent pungent aftertaste.
