The variety is traditionally grown in Sardinia, has medium growth vigor and a spreading crown shape. The fruits are medium-sized, weighing 2.5–3 g, have a symmetrical oval shape, and turn black upon ripening. Harvesting usually takes place from November to December.
The plant has good resistance to olive knot, but is highly susceptible to the fungal disease peacock spot. Oil from the fruits of this variety is characterized by a high polyphenol content and notes of green almond, artichoke, freshly cut grass, and green tomato.
