The SCARLINESE variety (also known as Olivastra Scarlinese) is a traditional local variety widespread in the Italian region of Tuscany, primarily in the Grosseto area. It represents a part of the agricultural heritage and is used for the production of olive oil.
Oil obtained from the fruits of this variety is characterized as a high-quality product. The variety possesses relatively low yield. Detailed morphological and agronomic descriptions, including precise plant height, maturity timing, and indicators of resistance to pathogens, are absent in open scientific publications.
