The Semidana tree has medium vigor, an open canopy of medium density, and elliptic-lanceolate leaves. The fruits, weighing 2.5–3.5 g, acquire an amaranth or black color upon ripening with visible white dots. The variety is late-maturing but enters the fruiting period early.
The oil of this variety has medium flavor intensity with light bitterness and pungency. The variety shows good resistance to the olive fruit fly, as well as moderate resistance to fungal diseases such as peacock spot and olive knot. The plant is well-suited for shaping in intensive plantations.
