Trees grafted onto this rootstock reach approximately 40–50% of the size of trees on seed rootstocks. The plant promotes the formation of wide branch angles, active lateral branching, and produces practically no root suckers.
The rootstock induces high yields, which, if necessary, requires fruit thinning to prevent them from becoming undersized. Due to the characteristics of the root system, young trees often require support to ensure stability in the soil.
Regarding diseases, the rootstock is resistant to known pollen-borne viruses, but may exhibit high susceptibility to Coccomyces hiemalis.
