The variety belongs to the subspecies Prunus domestica insititia. The trees possess high vigor and the ability for rapid propagation via root suckers; in its characteristics, the variety is close to wild forms.
The fruits are small, olive-sized, and have purple skin, a sweet taste, and a distinct aroma. The ripening period occurs from mid-July to the end of August. Due to the tendency to drop, fruits are collected from the ground or using nets.
The variety is autochthonous and is used both for fresh consumption and for various types of processing, including the preparation of jams and distillates.
