The variety is a local ecotype adapted to the conditions of the Piedmont region. It belongs to the "Ramasin" group of varieties, whose fruits are characterized by a round or oval shape and purple skin color.
Members of this group are prone to fruit drop upon reaching full maturity, therefore protective nets are placed under the trees during harvest. Precise agrotechnical characteristics and growth parameters are not detailed in available sources.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
