The tree is characterized as vigorous and low-maintenance, capable of growing at altitudes up to 1200 m above sea level. The plant forms a dense crown and abundant root suckers. The propagation of the variety is historically linked to regional ecotypes, and the plant itself is resistant to frosts down to -25 °C and does not require complex care.
The fruits are small, weighing 10–15 g, oval in shape. Skin color varies from amber-yellow to intense violet-blue; the surface is covered with a thick layer of waxy bloom. The light-yellow flesh is soft, sweet, and aromatic, and it separates easily from the pit.
The variety belongs to the early-ripening group: ripening begins in the second ten-day period of July. At full maturity, the fruits are prone to shedding, so they are traditionally harvested from the ground using protective nets. The fruits are used fresh, as well as for making preserves, jams, and liqueurs.
