The Ramasin group of varieties has ancient origins and is recognized as a traditional agricultural product of the Piedmont region in Italy. It is believed that these plants appeared in the region as early as the IX–X centuries. The plums are characterized by very small fruits, the size of which is comparable to grapes.
Plants of this group are distinguished by high vitality and require a minimal number of phytosanitary treatments, which makes them suitable for organic farming. The fruits have a pronounced sweet taste and are used both fresh and for making jams, marmalades, and fillings for baked goods.
