The tree of this variety has medium vigor. The fruit ripens in October, and its consumption period lasts from mid-October to early November. Externally, the pears are characterized by medium size and an often asymmetrical shape. The skin is thin, green or yellowish-green in color, often with brownish russeting.
The variety is classified as a dessert pear; however, due to the poor keeping quality of the fruit, it is used primarily in amateur gardening and collections of heirloom varieties. In literature, it is also found under the synonyms Urbaniste or Poire des Urbanistes.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
