The variety is a mutation of the Conference variety. The appearance and taste qualities of the fruits correspond to the parent variety, however, due to the shortened vegetation period, fruit size may be smaller.

The variety belongs to early-ripening types, harvesting usually falls in late August. In commercial horticulture, it is used as a club variety to extend the pear supply season.
