Variety description

The shrub is compact, dense, and has a hemispherical shape. By 10 years of age, the plant reaches a height of 1.0–1.2 m. The shoots are thick and dark brown. The leaves are oblong, matte, leathery, intensely dark green, and reach 12 cm in length.

The flowers are large, bell-shaped, intensely red, and gathered in spherical inflorescences. The variety is late-flowering, with blooming occurring in the second half of May. Frost resistance corresponds to climate zone 4b.

The plant requires acidic soil with a pH of 3.5–4.5, rich in humus, peaty, and moderately moist. Recommended for planting in semi-shaded areas in parks and home gardens.
