The variety is a female seedling obtained from open pollination of Salix babylonica (also known as S. matsudana). The clone is characterized by intensive growth and high productivity, demonstrating some of the best biomass accumulation rates in field trials.
The plant is adapted to intensive irrigation conditions and can be used as a vegetation filter for wastewater treatment. In scientific research, the variety is often used as a reference sample when studying plantations for energy feedstock production.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
