The plant has a semi-open crown structure. Young shoots are glossy, green, short, growing upwards, and may be drooping at the tips. The leaves are lanceolate, 8–10 cm long and about 1.5 cm wide, colored green on top and bluish-green on the underside. Leaf fall is late.
The variety is intended for landscaping streets, parks, ecological zones, and rural areas. It possesses high wind resistance, including resistance to sea wind, and tolerates short-term flooding. It can grow in peat, sandy, and loamy soils.
The variety is susceptible to watermark disease caused by the bacterium Brenneria salicis.
