The variety is a complex hybrid, the pedigree of which includes Salix viminalis, Salix schwerinii, Salix dasyclados and Salix burjatica. The genetic base combines Swedish breeding lines and forms from the Kirov region of Russia. Externally, the variety has narrow leaves, resembling the Tora variety.

The plant is intended for cultivation in short-rotation coppice to obtain woody biomass. It is also effectively used for phytoremediation of soils contaminated with copper and zinc, and in bioengineering structures for wastewater treatment. The variety possesses high winter hardiness and is slightly susceptible to rust.
