Malvasia di Candia Aromatica is a mid-season wine grape variety. The vine has medium vigor. The leaf is round, five-lobed, deeply dissected, with slight pubescence on the underside. The bunch is medium-sized (120–160 g), conical, elongated, and of medium density. The berry is medium-sized, round, golden-yellow with a waxy bloom, thick skin, and pulpy-juicy flesh with a muscat flavor. The variety has medium resistance to powdery mildew and grey mold, is susceptible to downy mildew and frost, and has medium yield.

Malvasia Aromatica di Parma is a distinct variety, which is a hybrid of Muscat Blanc. It is characterized by early maturity, a functionally female flower type requiring pollination, and yellowish-pink or amber-colored berries.
