The variety is a mutation of Malvasia Aromatica and is characterized by a semi-erect vine growth habit. The clusters of this variety are typically smaller than those of the parent form, with a loose structure and a pyramidal shape. The berries are medium-sized, round, and covered with pink-colored skin.

The plant is adapted to the specific conditions and volcanic soils of the Canary Islands. Wines made from this variety are distinguished by a complex aromatic profile with notes of red berries, stone fruits, herbs, and spices, and also possess pronounced minerality, acidity, and a specific copper or light-ruby hue.
