The variety is classified as a wine grape and is used for wine production. Genetic analysis confirms its parentage as a cross between Macabeo and Graciano. It is cultivated primarily in the eastern regions of Spain, including the Conca de Barberà appellation.

Maturity is medium to medium-late. The flower is hermaphroditic. The leaf is rounded, five-lobed, slightly lobed, with an open lyre-shaped sinus. Clusters are medium, cylindrical-conical, ranging from loose to medium density. Berries are small, rounded, dark blue in color, and covered with a thick waxy bloom.

The variety possesses high drought tolerance, while disease resistance is rated as below average. Wines produced from this grape are characterized by an intense aroma of fresh fruit with floral and creamy nuances, pronounced acidity, and soft tannins.
