Sheegene-20
ActiveVitis vinifera L. · Common grape vine

The variety is the result of a natural cross between the Sabaté and Callet Cas Concos varieties. The berries have dark skin color and are large in size. On Mallorca, the variety occupies more than 20% of all vineyards and shows the best results on stony soils, particularly in the Binissalem region.
The variety is characterized by a late ripening period and possesses good resistance to many viticultural risks, however, it is highly susceptible to grey mold. In wine production, MANTO NEGRO is valued for its elegance, freshness, and notes of blackberry, pomegranate, fig, red berries, licorice, and herbs. The wines are prone to high alcohol accumulation and are often used in blends to provide structure.
