The variety belongs to the pre-phylloxera grapevines that existed on Mallorca before the phylloxera infestation. Currently, it is the subject of biodiversity conservation and study programs conducted by the IRFAP institute.

The variety is intended for the production of red wines, but it is used in winemaking extremely sparingly and is produced in small batches. In scientific literature, the variety is mentioned in the context of phytosanitary certification and studies for the presence of viral infections, including grapevine leafroll-associated viruses.

Precise agronomic characteristics, such as ripening dates, vine vigor, disease resistance, or yield, are not described in open publications.
