The variety is the result of crossing the Solaris and Dornfelder varieties. The vines are characterized by vigorous growth and the formation of a small number of lateral shoots and tendrils. The leaves are large, three-lobed, and dark green. The clusters are medium-sized, conical in shape, and loose, which reduces the risk of gray mold infection. The berries are medium-sized, round, and dark blue.

The variety possesses resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew. Wines made from this grape variety are distinguished by their deep color, high content of tannins and phenolic compounds, and pronounced fruit tones. The grapes are suitable for both varietal wines and blending.
