The variety is a local autochthonous grape historically associated with the province of Castile and León. The plant is characterized by relatively large berry size.

The grape belongs to the wine varieties. Wines made from it are distinguished by low color intensity and reduced anthocyanin content. The variety exhibits natural resistance to powdery mildew, which allows for a reduction in the use of phytosanitary treatments.
