The variety possesses high growth vigor and productivity; the vine has a semi-upright habit. The leaf is dark green, wedge-shaped, deeply lobed, three- or five-lobed, with pubescence on the underside. The cluster is small or medium, cylindroconical in shape, and of medium density. The berry is small or medium, round or ellipsoidal, golden-white in color, and covered with a waxy bloom.
It belongs to varieties of medium or medium-late maturity group. It is characterized by low resistance to frost and diseases, in particular to downy mildew and Botrytis, as well as a tendency for berry shatter. The variety is distinguished by high sugar accumulation and high yield, and it is used for the production of dry, semi-dry, and fortified wines, as well as brandy.
