ActiveVitis L. · Grapevine

10 August 2026
The variety is the result of a cross between Couderc 1203 (Vitis vinifera × Vitis rupestris) and Riparia Gloire de Montpellier. The vines possess great vigor, which they transmit to the scion. The flower is of the male type, therefore the variety does not form clusters or berries.
The leaf is large, wedge-shaped, funnel-shaped, with a closed petiole sinus and wine-red coloration at the base of the veins. The root system is well-branched, predominantly creeping, but capable of penetrating deep soil horizons.
The variety is well-adapted to poor, arid, acidic, rocky, and sandy soils, but poorly tolerates carbonate soils. It possesses high drought tolerance and resistance to fungal diseases, moderate resistance to root phylloxera, and low resistance to certain types of nematodes. Cuttings root well and graft successfully with scions.
