The variety was obtained by crossing Vitis berlandieri cv. Rességuier № 2 and Vitis longii cv. Novo-mexicana. The bushes are characterized by medium vigor. The leaves are light green, egg-shaped, entire, with upward-curved edges and a light wine-red tint of the main veins at the base. The petiole sinus is open, wide, lyrate-shaped, and vaulted. The flower is perfect.

This variety is not intended for fruit production and is used exclusively as a rootstock for grafting Vitis vinifera. It is used to create seedlings with the necessary adaptation to soil conditions and resistance to phylloxera, and it also influences the mineral nutrition and development processes of the scion.
