The variety is a hybrid of Chasselas Blanc and Vitis berlandieri. It is a phylloxera-resistant rootstock with high vigor and a growing season of about 180 days. It has a functionally female flower and produces small bunches and berries, which are not used in commercial viticulture. The shoots have internode lengths of 8–10 cm, and cane maturation is 80–90%. Rooting ability is weak, often requiring the use of growth regulators.

The primary value of the variety lies in its high adaptability to calcareous soils; it tolerates up to 60% total and up to 40% active limestone and absorbs magnesium well. The variety possesses high resistance to root phylloxera, medium resistance to leaf phylloxera, and low resistance to nematodes. It is sensitive to waterlogging and high groundwater levels. The frost resistance of the buds reaches -24°C, while the root system is sensitive to frost and can be damaged at a soil temperature of -10°C.
